where the wild things are...

This is a little old, but whateves. Warner Brothers have released the very first two stills from Spike Jonze's Where the Wild Things Are. The film concurs with the children's book by Maurice Sendak, and follows the adventures of Max who creates his own world in his mind inhabited by fabulous wild creatures. Spike Jonze, , known for creating some of the best skate videos such as Yeah Right!, and most recently Fully Flared. Those unfamiliar with the skate world may recall some of his music videos including Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice", Daft Punk's "Da Funk", and Weezer's "Buddy Holly", or by his directing Adaptation in 2002 and Being John Malkovich in 1999. The character playing Max is an actual actor while the creatures are a combination of practical puppets and CGI. A lot of the film will feature giant puppets interacting with Max, while the faces will be added via CGI with the voices from other actors, including Forest Whitaker and James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano).
