old man still got it...

I'm in major Olympic/ track & field/ bloggage mode right now, it's pretty intense. Anyway, I just got off the phone with my pops, and he just returned from Spokane Washington where the USA Masters Outdoor Track & Field championships were held. He took first place in the 50 age group jumping 19ft 8 1/2in. Not bad for an old man. He's no rookie though. My Godfather Carl, and him ran together as kids, as well as at the University of Houston. He even made it on the Olympic team back in 1980, but unfortunately never had the opportunity to go, due to President Jimmy Carter decision to boycott the Moscow Olympics as part of a package of actions to protest the Soviet war in Afghanistan. I guess this is his time to shine now. Congrats old man.

Congratulations to your father. I just hope Pops didn't let your Godfather teach you how to sing the National Anthem or throw a baseball.

Also, many thanks for supporting Thank You For Reading. Your time viewing and comments are much appreciated.

Keep doing your thing over here, my dude.
