cornish acid recap...

It's 3:30am and I can't sleep, so I figure why not do a blog entry. I haven't been able to sleep the last few nights because I've been so juiced on moving into my new spot with the lady. I've never really had a spot that I could call my own, so this whole experience has been pretty exciting. We spent the majority of the weekend doing the usual things you do when you move into a new spot (cleaning, hanging drapes, building ikea furniture), which surprisingly wasn't that bad. We took a little break Saturday night, and hit up my buddy Tofer™'s latest art exhibition CORNISH ACID.

Tofer™ is one of the most talented individuals I've met since moving to LA two years ago. From his widely talked about Op art. To his, at times controversial clothing line Plain Gravy (remember the Pharrell Can't Skate t-shirt? That was him, not him), and photography the man's talents are limitless. Tofer™ was my second featured artist I interviewed for The Hundreds Chronicles section, which gave me the opportunity to get to know a truly remarkable individual a little better. In his latest exhibit Tofer™ continues where his Corn Mouth diorama left off.

"In this life-sized diorama, entitled CORNISH ACID, Tofer Chin plants his own garden of good and evil. Placed beneath an invisible magnifying glass, this is a garden, which defies both logic and proportion. While struggling to remember who slipped you the psyclobin, watch as grass grows from the ceiling and flowers reach out from the walls. In Chin’s garden, nature is an illusion, humans are only visiting, and Eggman reigns supreme.

CORNISH ACID marks the highly-anticipated return of Tofer Chin’s signature Eggman. In collaboration with Los Angeles based jewelry designer, Han Cholo, Tofer creates a brand new, limited-edition pendant. This time, with a gun metal shell and chain, matte black face and red piercing eyes; each of these affordable new pendants comes signed and numbered by the artist. With only 250 pendants available, for a very limited time, CORNISH ACID is the trip to take on April 25th, 2009.
"

Here are a few flix from the evening. There aren't many because I have yet to get a proper flash, but hopefully for my birthday. The lady and I were too tired to make it to the after party, which I'm sure was amazing with the slew of DJ's on the flier. I'm going to try to get a little sleep before I have to make the epic drive to the OC in a few hours. I'm hoping to make it out to
Trevor's new Monday night later on tonight to see NOSAJ THING spin, but we've still got a few things to move so we'll see. Oh yeah, I'm still phone/bbmless until the end of the week :::sigh:::

the end.
