A fine start for the Doctor. Although Casey Stoner took the podium Rossi still had a great race. Ducati Marlboro (and one of the only American racers) Nicky Hayden was treated and released from a hospital in Doha, Qatar after x-rays showed no serious damage from a vicious high-side during Saturday night qualifying for Sunday's season-opening. During the race it looked as if Hayden started to get a better feel as race went on.
As for the race, it's usually a race for about 5 Laps then its a parade. Few swaps in the middle. Pedrosa got drilled hard, but was able to recover nicely.
Overall, not super exciting, maybe anti-climactic even, but still a decent race. Next round, Polini Grand Prix of Japan at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit.
